- I updated to Mac OS Catalina today and when I run Virtualbox 6.0.12 with a Windows 10 VM guest, it crashes every time. If I switch from the VB screen on my MAC to the the Mac OS screen, the VM crashes. If I reopen Virtualbox, it says 'aborted' for the Win 10 VM. This happens every time.
- Extract macOS Catalina VMDK Image. Now, you should have downloaded macOS.
- Re: VirtualBox crashes after upgrading to macOS Catalina (#18990) by socratis ยป 24. Oct 2019, 10:14. I have a feeling that this thread will attract ALL crashes with 10.15. This thread started as a specific problem, and that problem has been addressed with 6.0.14, therefore locking the thread.
When a VirtualBox VM (or a VMware Fusion VM) has been running on a macOS Catalina 10.15.6 host for a few hours, the host OS crashes. That makes VB unusable, as it crashes several times a day. Comment:3 Changed 10 months ago by VBoxer1 Confirming this for Virtualbox 6.1.6 and 6.1.8 on a 2019 MacBook Pro with macOS Catalina.
