EPILEPSY WARNING
READ THIS NOTICE BEFORE YOU OR YOUR CHILD USE ANY VIDEO GAME
A very small portion of the population have a condition which may cause them to experience epileptic seizures or have momentary loss of consciousness when viewing certain kinds of flashing lights or patterns that are commonly present in our daily environment. These persons may experience seizures while watching some kinds of television pictures or playing certain video games. Players who have not had any previous seizures may nonetheless have an undetected epileptic condition.
If you or anyone in your family has experienced symptoms linked to an epileptic condition (e.g. a seizure or loss of awareness), immediately consult your physician before using any video games. We recommend that parents observe their children while they play video games. If you or your child experience any of the following symptoms: dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, involuntary movements, loss of awareness, disorientation, or convulsions, DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY and consult your physician.

FOLLOW THESE PRECAUTIONS WHENEVER USING VIDEO GAMES:
- When using your NES ® , Super NES ® or Nintendo ® 64, do not sit or stand too close to the television screen. Play as far back from the screen as possible.
- Play video games on the smallest available television screen.
- Do not play if you are tired or need sleep.
- Always play in a well lit room.
- Be sure to take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour while playing.
REPETITIVE STRAIN WARNING
Some people may experience fatigue or discomfort after playing for a long time. Regardless of how you feel, you should ALWAYS take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour while playing. If your hands or arms become tired or uncomfortable while playing, stop and rest. If you continue to experience soreness or discomfort during or after play, listen to the signals your body is giving you. Stop playing and consult a doctor. Failure to do so could result in long term injury.
If your hands, wrist or arms have been injured or strained in other activities, use of your system could aggravate the condition. Before playing, consult a doctor.
MOTION SICKNESS
The Nintendo 64 generates realistic images and 3-D simulations. While playing or watching certain video images, some people may experience dizziness, motion sickness or nausea. If you or your child experience any of these symptoms, discontinue use and play again later.
PROJECTION TELEVISION WARNING
DO NOT USE WITH FRONT OR REAR PROJECTION TV
Do not use a front or rear projection television with your Nintendo Entertainment System ® (“NES”), Super Nintendo Entertainment System ® (“Super NES”), Nintendo ® 64 system (“N64”), or any NES, Super NES or N64 games. Your projection television screen may be permanently damaged if video games with stationary scenes or patterns are played on your projection television. Similar damage may occur if you place a video game on hold or pause. If you use your projection television with NES, Super NES or N64 games, neither Nintendo nor any of Nintendos licensees will be liable for any damage. This situation is not caused by a defect in the NES, Super NES, N64, or NES, Super NES or N64 games; other fixed or repetitive images may cause similar damage to a projection television. Please contact your TV manufacturer for further information.
HARDWARE PRECAUTIONS / MAINTENANCE
Nintendo Switch Power Cord Wattage
- Always turn the power switch of the Control Deck off before loading or removing a Game Pak. Insert the Game Pak completely without forcing either the Game Pak or the Control Deck. Load ONLY Nintendo 64 Game Paks into the Nintendo 64 Control Deck.
- Do not use any type of AC power supply other than the one provided with your N64. The AC power supply and Control Deck may become warm during use; this is normal and is no cause for concern.
- Do not operate the Control Deck or plug in the AC power supply if the power cord is broken, split, or damaged in any way.
- The Control Deck has several ventilation slots in the housing designed to maintain adequate ventilation. Do not operate the Control Deck in a location where any of the ventilation slots may become covered.
- For the best TV picture quality, use only the RF switch sold by Nintendo.
- Do not disassemble or try to repair the Nintendo 64 components. Doing so voids your warranty.
- After you have finished playing, be sure to remove the Game Pak from the Control Deck.
- Do not store the Control Deck in a humid place, on the floor or in any location where it may collect dirt, dust, lint, etc.
- Do not drop, hit or otherwise abuse the Nintendo 64 components.
- Do not leave the Control Deck turned on for extended periods when not in use.
- When disconnecting any plugs from the Control Deck or wall outlet, first turn the Control Deck off. Then carefully pull by the plug itself rather than by the cord. Do not step on, sharply pull or bend any wires or cables.
- Do not expose the Control Deck, Game Paks or any other Nintendo 64 components to extreme heat or cold.
- Do not spill liquids on the Control Deck, Game Paks, Controller or any other Nintendo 64 components. To clean, use a soft slightly damp cloth. Allow the component to dry completely before using again. (Use water only.)
GAME PAK PRECAUTIONS / MAINTENANCE
- Avoid touching the connectors with your fingers. Do not blow on them or allow them to get wet or dirty. Doing so may damage the Game Pak/Controller Pak and/or the Control Deck or Controller.
- Game Paks/Controller Paks are high precision pieces of electronics. Do not store them in places that are very hot or cold. Do not hit, drop or otherwise abuse them. Do not take them apart.
- Do not clean with benzene, paint thinner, alcohol or any other solvent.
- Always check the Game Pak/Controller Pak edge connector for foreign material before inserting into the Control Deck or Controller.
- Do not rapidly turn the power switch on and off, as this may cause backed-up Game Paks to lose your stored game information.
